Spending the better part of the week in corporate America, keeping the fingers crossed not to be made redundant at the recurring 6 month restructures (corporate definition is layoffs), having my brain juiced for knowledge, having to tolerate others putting their mark (signature) on my work, then to watch them shine in the spotlight, and showered with promotions and pay raises.

  ALL the WHILE KNOWING that THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE TO BACK IT UP            Being able to picture, in my head, my knowledge while troubleshooting a solution to an issue. My words not being able to keep up with my thoughts, changing direction in-stream as I realized that direction would not work. All of this while looking them square in the face, seeing a total blank stare, knowing they have absolutly NO IDEA what I’m saying nor where I’m going. Legitimately talking circles around them. Their great brains, which supposedly have the knowledge, have no clue what so ever. Then it happens …… “Can you take care of this and get back to us?” Annoyed, I visit my manager and inform that I was tired of others always taking the credit for my work and my knowledge. The reply was basically that my manager knew and that this happens in the corporate world. Great, I felt so much better, NOT!!! See, we have the same manager. Yes, my manager the one who promotes and approves pay increase knowingly to co-workers with no clue.That day I realized, that I’m not alone.  Up1Level was born …………….Take your knowledge and put it to work for YOU and deadbolt it from the knowledge thieves. This is not about becoming a non-team player. You should be a team player but, don’t just give the key to the vault away.
